Last week I started a thread: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1328067 in an attempt to get tips and advice on how to do senior pics for a friend's daughter. Many of you gave advice and it helped a lot.

I am an experienced wildlife photographer that specializes on bird photography. So, senior photos were NOT something I felt confident in doing. Anyways, the shoot was this past Saturday and I took about 300 images. She had about 6 different outfits and we shot at 2 different locations (farm and horse ranch) over a 4 hour period.

I shot everything using ambient light only. Any C&C would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Crop or no crop version on this 1st image?

1 & 2 seem to be a touch underexposed. White balance on 4 & 5 doesn't match.

Great job Paul. If you're asking, here's a small suggestion, assuming these are representative. These all have the same facial expression. Next time you may want to give a little bit of direction to change things up a bit. If you did and these just happen to show one expression, oh well, my mistake.

Really good stuff for a first time. I agree on #1 & #2 being a bit dark at least for her eyes. Maybe you could brighten them up.

#4 the bottom of her boot is a little distracting to me. It draws attention away from her face.

I really like #3 and #5! Maybe crop some of the dark space above her head in #5.

#1, #2 light her face and give her eyes catch lights. #3 the is a senior pic and we need to see her face so same photo but turn her head to face us a little. #4 move her foot and put a reflector on her face. #5 Nice!. #6 the shadow of her glasses bugs me but I do not know how to fix that.
