I've noticed a couple of times that my pre-registerd AF points in the 1DX suddenly are gone. Thus I have to store them again, to be able to use them.
I've tried to figure out when that happens, and have finally seen that it seems to occur when I'm charging the main battery, and leave the camera without any main battery inside over night.
Does anybody else see this too?

I've not determined yet if the clock stops too, when this happens. I normally have the GP-E1 mounted in the camera's system port, and have it set to automatically set the time in the camera, so I wouldn't notice. Now I've removed the GPS from the camera and will check if the clock stops too. But it's a bit unexpected, since camera settings are normally retained without the backup battery, and no other settings are forgotten by the camera.

Check your Date/Time Battery it's a CR2025 battery, it holds the memory when your main batteries are out. Happened to me twice, changed the CR battery and never had an issue since.
