Facebook took the picutres off his facebook and sold them to the media.

Marketing 101. It makes this potential change to FB policies much less significant. ScottSpellmanMedia.com [photography]

For editorial use I think that is all fine, but to sell as a commercial license for advertising, I haven't seen anything in my feed yet. 6D x 2 | TM SP 35mm ƒ1.4 | 50mm ƒ1.8 | 85mm ƒ1.8 | 24-105mm ƒ4L USM | 135mm ƒ2L | 200mm ƒ2.8L II | 17-40mm ƒ4L | Sy 24mm ƒ1.4 | Sy XP 14mm ƒ2.4 Flickr

Anyone can grab an image from anywhere and credit anyone. such as one of those shooting spree guys, the one that also killed him Mom and himself. Facebook took the picutres off his facebook and sold them to the media. Have you got a cite for this?

The bottom line is if you want complete contril of your images host them on your own website. If you give up varying degrees of control hosting using a third party then you accept yheir terms and conditions in doing so. No one is forced to use the services they provide. Don't loke the terms... don't use the services. Peter
