fellow members,
If you have a Raw or jpeg image opened in photoshop (say an image taken from a 5D), is there any way that the whole image can just be exactly transformed into an 8x10 inch pic for printing?
Here's my situation:
I have photo printers at home, and the best photo paper in terms of size that i can buy is an A4 (which is btw measured at 21 cm x 29 cm. Now, i am trying to frame my pictures, meaning i bought come corbel frames at SM which are all 8 x 10 in size ( 20 cm x 25 cm).
If I print it on an A4, and with photoshop if centered, then all i have to do is grab a papercutter and cut the areas unprinted. Well that's the easy part. The hard thing is, i would have to crop the image to a 8 x 10 inch size with say 300 dpi reso. I don't find it nice coz some of the ares of the pic are omitted/deleted/cropped. Sometimes, you want a background area right? How do i go with this? Is there any way that I can straight away transform a given picture to an 8 x 10 inch size without distorting it?
Would appreciate your enlightening thoughts kind sirs....
