Hello!

I've managed to install EOS Utility 2.7.3 and installed the driver for Windows XP but the PC doesn't recognize the camera. The EOS Utility starts but the top 3 buttons are grey.
Is there anysolution to this ?

uh, why would you install a crap XP driver?

The Canon site has a driver for a 5Dc for Win8 32 or 64bit.

Are you sure ?
This was the first place to check. It says this: "There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver. "
*Sighs* I might have to set up a virtual machine only to modify the owner settings on the 5D...

Edit: Created a Windows XP 32Bit virtual machine and it worked. It is sad that they don't support W7 and W8 but it is understandable. Company's message: Buy the new camera for Christ's sake... :)

This was a problem Windows 7 and I believe the same thing will be true for Win8.

Theres a catch 22 here. The latest version of EOS utility supports win7 and win8 but doesn't support the 5dc.

The old version of EOS utility that supports 5dc doesn't support win7 or win8.

I've given up trying to use EOS Utility for both my cameras as the Canon SDK (software development Kit) stopped supporting both of them many versions ago.
