It seems the 5D IV and 24-105L IS II (the brand new version of the lens) are very thin on the ground ...

EDIT. Have put deposit down - Lens should be in next week, camera by end of Month - I guess 2 weeks.

Poor Credit card.

Fortunately, the end of the month is next week :-)

How much is the 5D IV around the world?

I can get it here (body only) for £3,300, at todays exchange rate makes it:

Australia $5,300
America $4,060
Canada $5,333
Europe €3,700
UK £3,600

Just curious.

The new lens looks good on paper, 10 rounded aperture blades and 4 Stop IS, up from 8 straight and 3 stops.

I'm interested in the new 24-105. I'd like to see how well it will out-perform the original. I kept mine that came with my 5DIII since it's a great lens that primarily lives on my 1D4 lately.

I'll let you know how it goes, obviously I can't compare to the original but let's see....

No it is a pound for pound, but Gib has no vat, but does have some import duty, so electronics are usually cheaper here than "home"

Yes, N.America has it good with this sort of stuff :)

Latest in my saga is this:

"Good evening,

Your Canon EOS 5D MkIV DSLR Camera Body Only is now ready for collection."

Well that was unexpected. I guess I might be picking 1/2 up tomorrow, woot! My 1-2 week prediction was way out....

Congrats!!!!

I'm going to play some defense to stop you from killing this thread (with my support I might add)

When is Moose back from his cruise? It's been a bit somber without the old guy.
