Doesn't matter what month it is, when the temps are hitting 30C, the sun is shining, you're working hard, and the water is a beautiful shade of blue, a person wants to go swimming.

Not for me. I need the water temp to be a minimum 30c. We have been taking our nightly skinny dips just before beat time and the water is now 23c and that is definitely too cold.

Hey, Gang,

I've been catching up...I missed a bunch of time due to health issues complicated by personal traumas, but I have been catching up...

Good to see Dan and Harm (the historical "Leader of Team Alpha") back!

I hope things are better, Tony. Glad to see you back.

I love new gear day. 24-105/4mkII on order and picked up a 50/1.4 and tokina 11-16/2.8. Nothing super high end but so far enjoying the heck out of them. Also borrowing an 85/1.8 and may end up keeping that too. Hope the wife doesnt find out.

Funny that you mention the 11-16, I tried it out on the new FF camera and it works great! Well at 16mm, not so mch at 11! It is after all meant for crop sensors but has EF mount which doesn't protrude into the camera body. Very nice suprise for me to have a great wide angle lens to use.

Here are some crappy pictures (jpeg uploaded direct to flickr from camera) that I took for testing:
Good @16mm:

Not so good @11mm:

Very happy boy I am. It's been 5+ years since I last bought a bit of camera gear, so forgive me in being a little kid again!

Cool, I had the 16-35 for the full frame 5D, worked like a charm. For my 30D crop, I picked up the EF-S 11-22, it also worked well!

What's wrong with Ikea?

Absolutely nothing wrong, just quite distinctive and recognisable as in Subby's post.

lol, not really. I promise that's the only room with it. I was ready for a comment about all the lego, but you caught me off guard with the IKEA one. Thank's for keeping me on my toes :p

Besides how do you know it's IKEA ?

We have mushrooms growing everywhere this fall. Summer was very dry, but once it started raining, it made up for lost time. When I'm out mowing, I see mushrooms everywhere. Wish I knew what ones were safe to eat, I'd pick them instead of mowing them.
