Among other snakes, we had boas for a while, and raised gerbils for food. One night all the gerbils, about 20, escaped in the house. Fun night trying to round them all up.

Yeah, I remember buying mice for my son's boa and then having to chase them around the house!

Awwww!!! Does it bark in a Scottish accent? Too much adorableness on this thread. :-)

Nope, a Gibraltarian accent. Not my dog by the way, it belongs to my daughter!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. And everyone who celebrates said holiday. May your plates be empty and your bellies be full!

Thanx, y'all need to adopt it. It's a great holiday. Totally non-denominational, no gifts, just lots of good food and football. <- (replace with you local favorite sport)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Tons of veggies to go around there. I'm sure she'd find something she will enjoy. ;-)a

OFFENDED.... ON THANKSGIVING

Just got into Tucson. Almost time to gobble.

75 degrees here. Not what I'd call Thanksgiving weather.

Is there Thanksgiving weather anywhere in Arizona?

Any day with turkey is a good day. Seeing as we had Thanksgiving in October, there's no celebrations happening here. I am preparing for tomorrow's day of baking, by grocery shopping, cleaning the kitchen, and baking bread. Our church's high school group does their big snocamp fundraiser in November. Snocamp is at the end of January, but the fun starts now. Tomorrow night is Friday Night Live, which is SNL inspired. The kids write and perform comedy sketches, show videos they've made, and do game show type games. Tickets at $10 per adult and that gets you a night of comedy and food - nachos bar this year.
As an extra part of fundraising, my sister and I make goodies to be auctioned off. She is making a weeks worth of freezer meals and peaches & cream pie. I'm making pumpkin, Mississippi mud, and key lime pies.
