Nice tree. We just have the tree up with lights. No decorations. I kind of like the minimalist approach. Trying to talk the wife into keeping just the tree and lights.

I would also a minimalist, but the wife is not.
Therefore, I am not. :-(

Due to the unusual absence of the forum reporting weather girl (Mel aka Jill-of-all-trades), here's an update from Gibraltar (a wee bit far away from Canada)

It is pouring down big time!!! What a miserable time.

I am off to Scotland tomorrow to visit my father, hopefully the weather will improve enough for the aircraft to land here, otherwise it'll be a diversion over to Spain to get a flight from Malaga, adding to the journey time -?

Check out the airport in good weather, and imagine it windy and wet (there's loads of you tube uploads of aborted landings!)

I hate flying. I stare at the seams of the plane and wait for them to pull apart.

Wee bit OCD are we? That's ok, I hate the number between 12 and 14. If I see it on the clock I have to freeze in place until it changes. Really hard in the car I must say.

And look out the window to watch the ground approach? While cruising, I mean, not just while landing.

Try to think of that number as a letter B that started to spread out like Jay's plane seams. Immaculens gave you an example to practice on.

The number 13 also bothers me. I can't/won't get out of bed if the numbers on the clock add up to 13, or the page number of a book I'm reading. I'll have to read one more page before putting the book down. Also the number 3 is an annoyance. I can't do anything three times, like washing my hands or putting ice cubes into a glass. Also, the time 10:13 makes me pause. It was the 10 code for a deceased person when I worked EMS. I won't go into light switches and locking doors. There isn't enough space here for that. :p

Jay, I used to have compulsions something like those. There were good and bad numbers, for instance, although I didn't apply them to physical actions as you do. 5 was a good number. Anything that will reduce anxiety can make these symptoms milder and less troublesome.

Coincidence! 5 is my favorite number. I tried meds, the side effects were worse than the problem. I learned some relaxation techniques to reduce the stress, and they do help most of the time. A really bad day at work or total stress makes for a long day. I am much better than I used to be. :-)

Wow, hope the TF is spying on this forum, bound to get you an appropriate title change!

I'll be watching the seams when flying tomorrow and thinking of you Jay ..... not for long though!
