Wow, hope the TF is spying on this forum, bound to get you an appropriate title change!

I'll be watching the seams when flying tomorrow and thinking of you Jay ..... not for long though!

Fly safe, Ian!!! But if you're on flight 1013, seated in row 3, seat 3 and there are 3 ice cubes in your coke...and the in-flight movie is "final destination".....well, you see where I'm going with this :p

Yeah the TF could certainly mess with Jay's nerves by placing certain numbers in his Title, and JJ for that matter...

But that would not be very Christmassy...

The number 12<>14 also bothers me. I can't/won't get out of bed if the numbers on the clock add up to 12<>14,

Yup, best way to insure your day is horrible.

or the page number of a book I'm reading. I'll have to read one more page before putting the book down.

That to

Also the number 3 is an annoyance. I can't do anything three times, like washing my hands or putting ice cubes into a glass.

3 by it's lonesome is ok for me.

jay125 wrote in post #18202160 (external link)
Also, the time 10:12<>14 makes me pause. It was the 10 code for a deceased person when I worked EMS. I won't go into light switches and locking doors. There isn't enough space here for that. :p

I can see that.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Coincidence! 5 is my favorite number.

Maybe not a coincidence. 5 has symbolism going for it that people intuit, but its meaning doesn't usually rise to consciousness.

Due to the unusual absence of the forum reporting weather girl (Mel aka Jill-of-all-trades), here's an update from Gibraltar (a wee bit far away from Canada)

It is pouring down big time!!! What a miserable time.

I am off to Scotland tomorrow to visit my father, hopefully the weather will improve enough for the aircraft to land here, otherwise it'll be a diversion over to Spain to get a flight from Malaga, adding to the journey time -?

Check out the airport in good weather, and imagine it windy and wet (there's loads of you tube uploads of aborted landings!)

I've been busy! I oil sprayed my truck today, and that required power washing the underside of it first. So this morning started out with spending some quality time at the car wash, lying on the ground, washing all the mud off the truck. I am very happy that I have Columbia's Outdry rain coat and pants. Paired them with rubber boots and I stayed completely dry. Then it was off to the shop where I scraped all the loose stuff off the frame and then oil sprayed everything.

In a short time here I'm heading out to take my niece to a movie.

Today we had a high of 4C and it was partly cloudy. Tomorrow will be a high of 4C and raining.

I don't have many 'quirks' like hating numbers or such. I do hate cupboard doors and drawers not being completely closed. When I'm working in the kitchen and I'm in and out of a particular cupboard, it's fine for the doors to be open. But when I'm done, it's gotta be closed. My family does not understand this, and they love to leave everything open.
I prefer things to be balanced and centred. Pictures must hang level.
For numbers, I like 7 and it's multiples. But don't have any I don't like. Unless I'm watching a Nascar race, then I have numbers that I absolutely hate!
My shoes need to be tied just so, or life does not happen.

Flying never bothered me. It's the ever shrinking seats, leg space, isle space, and security crap. Oh, and the disappearing meals. Thoughts of crashing?... pffft... "if he dies, he dies."

Add to that the air-tight compartment you're sitting in with all the infectious people sneezing, hacking, coughing and generally touching things.

and now a quick break for entertainment.

I was close to my monitor and viewing full screen and this has some compelling special effects, I will see this in the theatre, which I rarely do, except for big budget special effects movies like Star Wars
if anyone is interested - click the 'youtube' link on the bottom right to view full-screen there.

Yeah. That, too.

I miss B-52's. No line. Assigned seating. Free box lunch and cool aid, no screaming kids. Pretty sure bet the pilots aren't drunk. Everbody gets a parachute.

I do not like flying.

I have no fear of flying or crashing. I do not enjoy the tight seats, long periods of sitting, being stuck with people, or the whole "food" thing. My biggest issue with flying is that I get altitude sickness. I live below 1000' elevation. The relative pressure in an airplane is just not enough. The whole time spent at cruising altitude, I have to deal with a pounding headache, whole body aches, fatigue, muscle weakness, nausea, and other unpleasantness. As soon as the plane lands, I feel better. Other than being completely exhausted.

So this Star Wars movie is episode 8. Takes place after the whole thing with Kylo Ren, Han being killed, and Luke being found. So.... what's up with Vader? And the Death Star?
Am I going to have to watch all 7 of them again to figure out the storyline?
