Our movie last night was 10 commandments. Watching it last night I never realized just how big Chuck's head is. He has an enormous head.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

One more thing I really like about Easter is the old movies tjey show on TV; The Robe, Ben Hur, Spartacus, et al.

Jean Simmons (not Gene) was a babe.

I guess it makes you feel like a kid again when you watched them in the theater as they first came out.

(Just in case you don't get it, since you're so old, I'm saying you're old. No offence)

No pies around here lately.

I started working at Nissan on January 3rd. Rob's birthday is January 24th. I debated for awhile, but decided to bring in some baking for his birthday. I made a big tub of chocolate chip cookies, and the guys went nuts over them. I knew that if I brought baking for Rob, the rest of the guys would expect baking for their birthdays as well. I decided to commit to it. Since then I have brought in more cookies, chocolate chip banana muffins, and lemon meringue pie.
Steve's birthday is on Wednesday. Initially he had asked for lemon meringue pie, but after I brought in some experimental ones, he decided that he wanted something easier to eat. After he waffled on what he wanted for a few weeks, I gave him a deadline to decide by, and he settled on apple crumble with (good) vanilla ice cream. Not exactly easier to eat, but that's his problem.
Steve is turning 30. And since 30 is a big birthday to celebrate, we're going to celebrate it properly. Tomorrow we're going to Pizza Hut for lunch to celebrate the last day of Steve being in his twenties. Then on Wednesday, we celebrate him turning 30.

(I know Jay isn't retiring but go along with me here.)

They are lucky!

I enjoy baking, but I really love baking when I have appreciative folks to feed it too. These boys love food, and they really love homemade baking. Rob still lives at home, and mom packs his lunches, but he scarfs down goodies like he has to get his share before a sibling steals them away. Steve and his girlfriend have very little cooking skills, and the GF is on one of those super restrictive, no taste, no good stuff diets. Curtis is engaged to a dietitian, they have also just purchased a house, so the poor guy eats peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and gets fed stuff like tofu for supper. Todd just likes food. Michelle has a sweet tooth, and is too busy being a working mom to do any baking herself.

I semi-retired in 1995. It's going so well I don't think I'll ever fully retire.

My latest favourite picture. I took this Saturday with my iPhone. Dad holding his newest grand baby, Grace. Just three weeks old.
Dad has always been very comfortable with babies, and they settle right down with him and snooze. Dad will be 72 in June. He's the same age his father was when I was born.
All natural light from the window behind the couch.

But I'm not reti...oh, I mean yeah....retirement here I come. And in the middle of the summer too! Tragic.

Practicing for retirement, I took this tonight. It's my first bird image. I didn't have a pringles can, but I think it's ok.

Sounds like it was a lose-lose situation. Or a win-win. Whichever way you want to look at it.

Wife wins because i'm still bringing in cash, I lose because I'm still working. The company wins because I'm still delivering.

So its a Win-Lose-Win situation. Everyone wins excepts me
