Howdy.
Yesterday was Help-Portrait day across the world. We set up again at the Calgary Drop-In Centre. Being cold, the place was full, but we did not get a lot of people from other parts of the city like we usually do, as we sent out messages to lots of different agencies throughout the city, to advertise for anyone to come in and get a free 8x10 photo. We still managed to do 689 portraits though. What a great day of having fun with other photographers, make-up people, and general volunteers, all while helping put a smile on the faces of other in an unfortunate situation.

i hear everyone talking about it being low to mid 20F...and to me thats leave the house in a light sweater weather.
here is getting down to -40F and its 3 layers of clothing before you even consider going outside. sadly i've gotten used to it now, so i just take a jacket with me now.
I must live in the tropical part of Calgary, the coldest it has got in the north part of the city was a -34°C dip one morning last weekend. It got up to =14°C for our walk on Nose Hill today. Downright balmy I say, a good day to be a Calgarian.
