I finished restoring all my stuff. Back to full strength.

Well done. Maybe you should nip over to the TF thread and prevent your own kill ..... 23 hours and clock is ticking.

It’s used in Scotland a lot, e.g. nip to the shops, nip to the pub, etc., nip = quick visit

I guess I'll have to be the one to step forward on this one.
In the US, (maybe elsewhere, how do I know?), 'nip' is short for nipple, and nipple is the... uh... business end of a baby's feeding apparatus that produces baby's milk, usually a baby's bottle but I hear there are better and more fun (for who?) substitutions though not as convenient for the mother of said baby.
How's that???

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.

I am! Major shrinkage and I can't afford it!
Better than 'dust' (title reference)???

Sound's about right , it needs a lube job, maybe Mel can recommend the right grease.

I definitely recommend a high quality synthetic grease. Something that holds up well under heat and friction. Preferably with no sticky residue or funky taste.

I thought Nip it was short for Nippon , a derogatory term for the Japanese.

I believe in the context in which he said it, his head was in the gutter keeping me company...
