There are four techs left. Two licensed, two apprentices. One apprentice is going for elbow surgery on Wednesday, so his future there is uncertain.

That place is a mess, and it's not getting any better.

In the end this may not be a bad thing. An opportunity for you to find someplace more stable. Sorry Mel.

My thoughts exactly. We're all pulling for you, Mel.

Hopefully it doesn't take long to find another spot. And hopefully I find a good place. The GM dealer that I was at for 6 months in 2016 would be my top pick to go back to. That job was awesome, unfortunately it was only temporary.

It's been a decent year, but the place is not run well.

What I'm going to miss the most, is the people. One co-worker is a good friend now, I see him outside of work plenty, but I'll miss seeing him everyday.

And I'm bummed that I'm only one 2-day course away from being a Master Tech. :(

The cool thing about what you do is they keep making vehicles which means you will always have a job. There will always be people like me who have critters living in the engine. And the next place will hopefully provide a better working environment. The next place might put you through the last course, since you're so close and they could exploit your talent!

I guess the wedding is off...

There is no wedding, but I'm accepting gifts if you've already gone through the trouble. :-)

Well because it's Mel, you'll need to take away sharp objects or accept this thoughtful gift.
