They use those words to describe me whether it's cold or not. Does the tractor cab stay warm?

The tractor is heated. I can turn it into a sauna if I want. I never did check to see if the seat is heated.

Sweet. That has to make it a bit easier.

The only difficulties with using that tractor is fitting it into all the tight spaces I have to clear without hitting anything, and driving it on city streets with traffic.

I don't have to use a snowblower, shovel any sidewalks, or salt anything. The only time I'm outside the tractor is to open gates.

Well, getting up in the middle of the night is not easy.

I'll have to take some pictures of the interior, show you all the buttons I get to play with!

It was a bit daunting at first. This tractor has combined several different systems into one unit, so I just had to use different experiences all mixed together. The plow hydraulics are controlled with a joystick (other than the wings) instead of separate lever controls, so that has really simplified things. And two of the buttons on the joystick control some of the transmission gears up and down. Those gears have an electronic clutch.

Oh.... this tractor has a 24 speed transmission. :D
Plus high and low ranges.
Plus forward and reverse in every gear.

I was beginning to think folks were a little speechless over the 24 speed transmission.

24 speeds is quite intimidating I must say. 48 if you count the reverse ones.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

48 with high and low. 96 with reverse.

There's never any reason to use all of them in a row. You're either in high or low, rarely would you switch while moving.
And there's a lot of skip shifting done.

I plow in high C 1-4, and use the same gears in reverse.
To drive on the road, I start in high D 1 and go right up through high F 4, but I don't hit every gear on the way.

Three clutch options are fun, plus the automatic one. But it's all stuff that I've learned previously.

Found a job posting for a licensed tech at a GM dealer in the next town. Took in a resume to the service manager.

Him: I need a licensed tech
Me: I am licensed
Him: You're licensed?

Top line of my resume, under qualifications: 310S Certificate of Qualification

Oh I see the problem, he's looking for licensed. You're Certified. How did he become the service manager again?

Still waiting for interior pics of the tractor. Yes I am that bored. Kthnx!

And I'm still waiting for it to snow enough to go out plowing! The insane snowstorm that was supposed to hit this past weekend went around us. :(
