It's the cheapest oil filter I have ever seen - costs about $3.00. It's basically a tin can with a little bit of paper inside. Walmart typically employs untrained technicians, kids right out of high school with little to no experience. Walmart (and other like businesses) provide a very low cost service, at the expense of quality. I have had several co-workers that have started out at Walmart. I know the bad habits they learn there and have had to retrain them to higher standards. I have also seen and worked on many vehicles that have been serviced at such places, and then have various problems that develop from the low quality work. Is that a knocking sound from the engine?
