Well, since I only ALMOST killed it, but then really did NOT kill it, I can't be sent to prison for killing anything, right??

This thread need some pictures. I have been restoring some of my old film.
My first new car. Didn't know it at the time, but this has been my only new car ever bought for myself!! Bought lots of used, but this is the only new one.

I love that van!!! Did it come standard with the child, or was he extra?

What year is that?

Did it last longer than 5 years? Back in the day where you would get 6 years out of a new car before scrapping it.

Thanx, extra, It was a 1977 Dodge B200 panel truck. This is after a bit of modifications. Bought it as an empty box. All it had was a driver seat, steering wheel, pedals, box and drive train. Nothin in the back, no passenger seat, no radio, nothing. I think I paid a whopping $4800 for the thing new.

And what did you convert it to, a shaggin' wagon? Nice big double bed in the back, 8 track stereo tape player, glitter disco ball hanging from the roof? Cool stuff JJ.

No disco ball and replace the 8-track with a cassette player and CB radio. But installed nice captain chairs, a back seat that folded out to a bed, table, lights, paneling, did the pinstriping myself and added a sunroof and roof vent.

The warranty department disagreed with my claim that the cylinder head would need to be replaced. They insisted I remove it for inspection. So I had to take the engine and transmission out (they are removed together) and take the head off so we could take pictures to send in. Even with pictures of the damage they are insisting that it will be ok. We’ll send it to a machine shop for cleaning, testing, and new valves.
