I just checked outside, it's lightly snowing, straight down. But it's cold! -17C and 83% humidity, makes it feel like -27C.

Currently -11°f here, that's not including wind chill. And it's only going to get colder. Monday is supposed to be high -11°, low -23°.

No news yet.

He was here yesterday morning. Left for an eye doctor's appointment around noon. Stopped at home to change his shoes. His wife gave him something to drop off at their daughter's place, which is only a couple of blocks away. He was last seen there, never made it to his appointment, which is just a few roads further away. He wasn't even driving his own demo vehicle, had borrowed another managers demo just for this appointment. (A customer was probably driving his at the time).

A volunteer search party is happening at 10:00.

One good thing about all this is how fast the community is coming together. This guy is well known and is seriously reliable and responsible. It's not very often that a missing persons report hits the news just five hours after they are last seen.

Does this appear to be a good deal on this '59 Ford Fairlane?

Considering a restored Fairlane runs in the $15k~$25k range(just googled it) Then depending on how much of it is still usable, maybe 1/2 of that would be a decent price. I've seen guys start with cars way worse and get them looking pretty decent.

A good friend and neighbor restored this Rambler and it was in way worse shape.

all state workers, finance people, federal workers (non essential), are all at home. All schools, colleges and universities are shut down too.

most trains are cancelled, but if you lived west and south-west you made it in...

mine were all cancelled but naturally you only find that out when you GO to the platform - no updates online, right? I got a lift in after that with a neighbour who works at a downtown hospital...

place is pretty dead and quiet :D
