I had my 1st wisdom tooth pulled 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have had to take pain meds (ibuprofen) 4 times a day for pain. I went back to the dentist yesterday to have him tell me it just takes time to heal. After messing around he took an xray and realized the tooth next to the extracted wisdom tooth had a cracked root. It wasn't cracked 2 weeks ago. Alas, today I am down another tooth and in pain again.

Good times.

I like 'the cold'.

I do not like suffering from 'a cold'.

Coughing, sneezing, running nose, sore throat, sore muscles, no energy, no sleep, headache, scratchy voice, etc. Not fun.

A friend of mine had some major dental work done back in November. He ended up with an infection, but didn't know it. A month ago he got sick, thought it was a stomach bug, but it didn't go away. After a couple of weeks of daily trips to the hospital they figured out that the dental infection had caused an intestinal infection, which caused septicemia and jaundice. Said he lost 26 lbs in two weeks.

I'll take a nasty cold over that any day.

Hi again gang :)

My camera gear has mostly been collecting dust in the bags the last years, so I haven’t been active on POTN for quite some time. I think this thread was on the 14th iteration last time I posted. I really want to find my way back to the joy of photography and thought I would pop in here again. Happy to see so many familiar names still posting here :)

I've been on a bit of a lull as well. Lot's of shooting at work but little for fun.

I'm feeling like my 5Dc cameras are getting a bit long in the tooth (even though they are lovely cameras), and planning on getting a new body for the summer. Trying to decide between a used 5D3 or getting on the mirrorless bandwagon and getting a new R, and I'm not sure what to do yet.

I upgraded my 5Dc to the 5DII and was really impressed with the gain in IQ. Last year up upgraded from a 5DII to the 5DIV and have been really happy with the upgrade. With the new EOS-R sharing the same sensor as the 5DIV, I suspect that the upgrade from the 5Dc to some body with the 5DIV sensor will be significant. If I had to do the upgrade today, I think I would go with the mirrorless body.

I was also very close to getting the 5DII long ago, but was a bit mad that they hadn't really upgraded the AF from the original and stayed with the 5Dc. I have a feeling that the mirrorless system will probably be the future for most, but it also feels like a big change... trying to check out a lot of reviews, and it seems there are both pros and cons (of course)... but it feels like it could be a working compromise for me.

I was hesitant as well but the other features like live view, micro focus adjust, and an improved sensor sold me. I was really happy with the upgrade and the 5DII became my goto camera. I was looking to upgrade when the 5DIII came out but after shooting with one for a bit, there was no improvement to image quality so I stuck with the II.
