Podcasts and audiobooks for me. But, the audiobook has to be interesting enough to keep my interest, otherwise I feel like nodding off, and that's not a good idea while driving...

Throwback Thursday!

May '75. Went into the Air Force later the same month, and married right after basic training.

I listened to the comedy channels on XM, years ago. But, I had to let my subscription expire. Little else on XM appealed to me, so the comedy channels were almost all I listened to, but they ran ads every 15 minutes. And, not just any ads, but ads for crap that I report as spam when it shows up in my email inbox. No way was I going to continue paying to be force fed those ads...

I do miss the real content I used to get there, though. A couple days ago I was thinking about a Mel Tillis routine I heard on XM long ago. I checked YouTube, but I can't find it there.

Totally agree. A bad book is like a baseball game or watching golf or tennis. It's great for a few minutes but then it's time for a nap. :)

Same here. I have never owned a new car. Heck, I never paid more than $500 for any car until I was 45 and that was because I found a pristine 1967 Cadillac Coupe DeVille sitting out in Varna Illinois population 125. The guy wanted $1500 but I talked him down to $800. Though it had been sitting for years I was able to get it started (with a few cans of starting fluid and new gas) and actually drive it home. Needed quite a bit of cleanup but everything was still working including the power antenna.

I'm one of those...what some people would call, idiots... that likes to buy new cars. I guess I like things that are virginal.

I've owned five cars and two motorcycles. The first bike and first two cars I bought used. All of the others were brand new.

I can't remember how many I have owned. Many were $100 wonders, I would drive it until it died.
first car, 1967 Beetle
Then came a Valiant with push button trans (don't remember the year)
1966 GTO
Plymouth Duster
Oldsmobile Vista cruiser
Dodge panel truck (I tricked out, sort of, I was broke)
Dodge Monaco
The Caddy
1973 Grand Prix (my favorite)
1996 Grand Prix
1999 Grand Prix
2003 GMC Sonoma
2008 G6 - current car
I know I'm missing a few, I'll remember them throughout the day. :)

My tricked out van. I even did the pin striping.
