Feathers make great down for comforters.

When I was a wee young'un I had a joke book. One of the jokes went something like this:

"How do you get down from an elephant?"
"You don't. You get down from a duck!"

That damn joke confused the hell out of me for years!

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Good one. My 6 year olds favorite joke he tells everyone is:

"What's the babies favorite constellation?"
"The big diaper!"

And then he laughs hysterically.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I would have though it would have been something like Ophiuchus.

Is it Thanksgiving again already?

I wish I was closer. I want one of those sammiches...

Not Thanksgiving again, just have turkeys in the freezer that need to be roasted. I get a big one from work every Christmas, but every holiday meal is hosted at someone else's house and they do the bird. Figured it was high time to cook one and have my own leftovers.

Hmm.... something's wrong with the railroad again. Every train that has gone through this afternoon, in either direction, has gone through at maybe 15 mph. There had been crews out working on the switch here yesterday, and every train using the siding had to stop and someone visually inspected the switch. But the train that just went through was on the main line.

"You get down from a duck." Down = undercoat feathers, as in "down jacket," "down sleeping bag." It was years before the meaning of that one downed on me. I mean dawned on me.

I would say Abba was more pop than disco, though some of their songs did kinda go in that direction.
