My all time favorite band for harder stuff is Led Zeppelin.

While a really big Zeppelin fan myself, my favourite all time rock band is Pink Floyd. Yes, Genesis, and many others were up there too. In high school rocked out to Black Sabbath a lot too. :D

I got my first Sabbath album (Paranoid) after I was already married and in the Air Force. I think I was 20 at the time.

No, but I did think about it :D You really are on guard about that, aren't you?

But, of course! :)

My music tastes run the gamut, from classical to the Grateful Dead...

I'm the same way. I'll listen to pretty much any genre, but I don't necessarily like everything in every genre. I pick and choose. My favorites, though, are classic rock and Country (y'know, real Country music -- not most of what pretends to be Country these days).

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

I can listen to almost anything but rap, bubble gum and these shrieking females that do vocal gymnastics and call it music.

Some rap is good, but definitely not most. I have a few of Snoop's CDs. And, one of my favorite Christmas songs is from Eazy-E.

Same here. Saw them for the first time doing UmmaGumma. I didn't know who they were and heading down to the record store I went looking for their music. Store owner asked what I was looking for and all i could tell him is was Pink something. I walked out with Frigid Pink, totally not the same thing. :)

Saw the Meddle tour and the Animals tour as well. The Meddle tour was by far their best.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Animals tour was the only one I saw, and had to travel a long ways to get to it. We do get bigger acts here now that we have the venue for it, but back then we didn't.

The Animals tour was really good as well because they included so much of DSOTM.

The first band I saw in concert was the Dead Kennedys.
Second was AC/DC.

The bands I've seen live most often are Asleep At The Wheel (by far - at least a couple dozen times), Shonen Knife and the Grateful Dead.

Well... Actually, Luck of the Draw would be the band I've seen in concert most often, but that's my brother's group, so it's in a different category. :)

One of the most abstract Pink Floyd albums I have, is the soundtrack to the movie, MORE. I think this was during their early psychedelic drug influences years. :D

I have never seen the movie though. It came out in 1969. I was in grade 6.

Click on album for youtube link.

I love Pink Floyd. Have all their albums including some unopened vinyl.
