My all time favorite band for harder stuff is Led Zeppelin.
While a really big Zeppelin fan myself, my favourite all time rock band is Pink Floyd. Yes, Genesis, and many others were up there too. In high school rocked out to Black Sabbath a lot too.

I didn't know who they were and heading down to the record store I went looking for their music. Store owner asked what I was looking for and all i could tell him is was Pink something. I walked out with Frigid Pink, totally not the same thing. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
