Thanks for the post, Dan. I knew he was in bad health, but wasn't aware he'd passed away. I'm glad I got a couple of opportunities to photograph the mountain while he was still alive.

I knew you guys had both shared photos and stories from there.

I hate trying to pick out pictures from Jay's website. It's always like "OOh I like that one" then you go to the next page and it's like "Nevermind, this one is way better" It's a losing battle.

Looks like one hell of a ride Omar! Nice photos and video.

Thanks Dan! It was a fantastic trip. We really enjoyed the southern coast of Puerto Rico. The people were just amazing.

Hey Omar....What's up with another brand swap on the bikes? New sponsor for 2014?

You are correct. We switched from Pinarello to DeRosa. Campagnolo is our title sponsor who has worked for decades with DeRosa. They both were partners building bikes for Eddie Mercks when he was winning the Tour de France. It was a natural progression and we can not be more excited to be aligned with a frame builder with such a rich history and tradition. We are now on DeRosa Protos. Here is a shot from when I first recieved it. I changed the bar tape to black before going to Puerto Rico:

We are headed back into the 70s as well. With warmer temperatures forecast well into next week I think winter is officially over here in TX. Time to git the pool opened. :)

I just came in from cleaning (acid bathing) the salt cell, shocking the pool, adding acid to it, and skimming and brushing it. I'll have to vacuum and clean the filters soon.

Pools are a pain, but I'm in it most of my days off from April-Oct.

Last time I was in was Nov. 6th and it was cold. I shut ours down just before t-day for the winter draining the filter and pumps. It's not hard to start back up, just clean the filter and turn it back on. THe water has stayed remarkably clear due to the really cold winter.

Mine's "clear," but gets a lot of bebris in it; dead leaves from nearby plants, and two friggin mesquite trees, mainly.
