Alcohol is a blood thinner. And eventually has a numbing affect and helps you sleep.

Waiting for x-rays. The bruising has just kept getting worse and I can't move it anymore. Work definitely has not helped. Boss agreed that it needs to be checked out before I go away for a week, being that it's a WSIB claim.

Yup been there as well. In my young meat department days right out of High school I was called in to help a guy for a busy ground beef sale, 10 minutes after I showed up he left to go hang out with his girlfriend. I punched through a window in the meat department and cut my hand up eventually requiring stitches but kept right on working until someone came in saying they need assistance and noticed I was grinding meat with a blood soaked hand.

Good times.

Not much of a drinker, and it keeps me up at night.

No point in trying to keep working, it hurts like crazy, I can't work properly, and I don't want to injure it anymore. I still get my full day's pay today, and if I have to miss any work WSIB covers it.

Not broken. Just messed up.

My lifelong record of never having broken a bone still stands.

You still have to bring a camera on vacation.

Awesome Nick!

And then you get all the craziness of learning the ins and outs of the new place. I always dislike the process of figuring out who you can and cannot trust.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I've always liked that time. Getting to know the new people is a challenge but it's also an opportunity. With each job change you have the ability to totally re-invent yourself. All prior perceptions are gone, all the old baggage. No one knows you and you can pretty much be who ever you want to be. I've always used that time to change my management style. Once you establish your new personal, you can slowly drift back into the person you are naturally but the perception of who you are is set and perceptions are almost impossible to change.

I do like that aspect, being a whole new person if you want to be. Starting fresh is always good. But I don't like not knowing who everyone around me is. Which ones are your friends and which ones are the enemy. Who can be trusted and who do you need to stay away from.

And for me, I have the extra effort of having to prove myself in everything. Prove that I am physically capable of doing the job, that I know what I am doing, that I can handle working with the guys, etc.

Yeah, it is... It's just going to be a busy transition. I have a week off in between, but that will be filled with studying, and as soon as I start my new job it's straight into more studying to get licensed.
