So looks like I will be pressing charges for hit and run.

Sometimes, when I see "hit and run," I think of Hendrix singing "Crosstown Traffic."

Don't know why I brought that up...

carry on.

Which reminds me of the Kansas song...

The guy that rear ended me had no choice about having the accident reported - he damaged his car bad enough that he couldn't drive it away.

And while we're reporting... I'd like to report an assault... I got karate chopped by the alignment machine today. Was putting the targets on the wheels, have to push the hooks in between the rim and the tire, when I pushed unevenly and the top hooks came out. Target hit me on an angle across my collarbone and neck. It hit my necklace hard enough to leave imprints and has bruised my collarbone. I get the feeling that the machine did not appreciate being woken up.

Based on those estimates, it looks like felony hit and run. I'm sure your insurance company wants charges pressed.

I go through phases. In high school I was in the ER all the time for injuries like sprained ankles, glass shard in my heel, torn ligaments in my wrist, etc. Then for years I didn't have any problems. The last two years have been back into the injuries. Three WSIB claims within a year. Fortunately nothing has been more serious than a concussion, just irritating things.

It sure didn't feel good. Must have hit the carotid artery just right, felt lightheaded for a few minutes and then developed a headache. Definitely felt odd.

Apparently my penchant for injury has developed into a thread murdering rampage. Quite the mutation I'd say!

Two hours until it's time for nachos with the volleyball team :D Going to miss that team, but baseball starts Tuesday night so I'll have another set of teams to play with for the summer.

Na, just a crazy busy week for me. So much to do, so little time.

After leaving the ER (wifey has a left bundle branch block since birth) I had to go to the store to get a few groceries. Figured I'd get a bottle of wine too. Lady asked for my I.D., ok no problem. I hand it to her and she says I can't accept this, why?

It's not you in the picture.

I don't know if I should be happy or not...

I said lady I assure you it is me, I have several other pieces of id, along with various bank and credit cards. No I wasn't rude or mean, I understand she is just doing her job.

But... no wine for me tonight.

When I got home I told my wifey this and she looks at my I.D.and says it doesn't look like you anymore.

On my 30th birthday I went to the LCBO. I expect to get ID'd there, but when I got to the cashier she looked at me and loudly announced "There is no way you are old enough to buy alcohol." And then, in a normal voice, told me "You are definitely not older than my daughter, and she is 17." I handed her my driver's license.

People usually tell me to take it as a compliment, but I find it frustrating that people don't seem to recognise me as an adult.

Thanks Dan he is truly a humble person. I hope every cyclist gets to spend some time with him. Really down to earth and never rushes anyone off. It's actually you who gets the feeling of "let me not take anymore of your time" which is pretty cool for someone of his stature.

Ya know, I have never been carded, ever, even when I was younger than 18 buying wine or beer.

I only got carded once making an alcohol purchase...I was in my late 20s. Bartender said they carded everyone, every time. Seems they got popped for an underage sale and didn't want to go through the hassle ever again.
