Well, Omar, it sounds like you had a great time!

Unfortunately, I've had some "issues" lately that have kept me from getting out there 'cycling, but it's nice to hear your story and get some vicarious enjoyment out of it!

Thanks Tony! It was great to get out there away from the city into some nice and quiet. Good for a reboot :)

Guess in Andes,Ny for a farmer its Cadi that you made it and north across the boarder its Hyundai :D But i guess being told by the farmers themselves that Cadi is the symbol of choice in that area is not enough. I have learned not to judge. Considering im a minority I have gone through and continue to go through enough of that. Anyways. Enjoy your day.

There must be a bonus being given out in that area Harm. I will take a picture of it next. It was like fast and the furious in the country at breakfast time :)

Well, I'm not sure what the "path forward" will entail at this point, but, well, I'm hoping for positives rather than just "stuff"!

Sure, don't judge at all.

The guy that chose to drive his Cadillac that day is "successful".
The guy that chose to drive his 4x4 that day is "not".

That's not judging anyone at all.

Maybe one of those guys driving a 4x4 owns two Cadillacs, but his wife is driving one and the other one is at the dealership getting an oil change done.

You can't judge someone by what they drive to the coffee shop that morning.

Yes, they said that in that area they choose to buy one particular type of car as their status symbol. But maybe the guy sitting next to them just doesn't give a ******** about status symbols. He probably has much more money in the bank because of it. If you want to go judging someone's success by the size of their bank account.

Visit Andes, NY and have a talk with those farmers Mel. Seriously. It is their words. Get a grip you have never been to that area and you are telling me how it is there? Like me telling you about were you have gone without visiting. Maybe Andes, NY is a bit different than where you have been? I dont think that has crossed your mind  However, What i wont deal with is you continuously beating this topic into the ground after i informed you these were the words from those farmers themselves. It bothers you enough go to Andes,NY and speak to them. Tell them they are not right for what they told me. :D

I don't care how many sporty commercials GM puts out there to spice up the Caddie, It will forever be an old man farmer car to me. :)

I bought an old Caddie from a farmer years ago. I think it was a 1965 or a 1967, can't remember which. It was a comfy ride and ginormous inside, but I still felt like an old man driving it. Sort of wish I kept it though.

All those commercials worked then. They went out and bought Cadillacs.

Subsidies and old men + status symbols = Cadillacs FTW.

Unlike those stay at home mums who do the shool run in a land rover or range rover.

Status that they've (or at least their sig other) have made it.

I'm coming up on 2 years. I should have done this move a long time ago. Life here is much better. I work for a demanding guy but no where near as crazy as back in IL. Out running every night, lost 50 pounds and feeling much better. Time to get the bike in shape and hit some of the trails around here.
