... My wife just doesn't think like me though. :(

Does anyone?

My wife and I have been married so long that we do indeed think alike. I mean, we will have the exact same thoughts at the same time. I'm thinking "I'm hungry for pizza" and she will say, "let's stop for a pizza" or I got a odd little brain worm humming away in my head and i hear her singing it. It's down right spooky at times. Way too many coincidences as it happens all the time.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

^ same here. Happens a lot. We've been married 39 years.

As long as she doesn't begin to look like me. That would be a deal breaker.

Does she say, "You should really buy more camera gear"? If she does, that's a keeper for sure.

It's never been an issue. Of course now I have quite a few shecklys saved up and am looking for something to buy. Unfortunately Canon really isn't offering anything I want at this moment. :(

You could buy Chet more camera gear. Call it a baby present.

I am so on the verge of doing a brand swap. I shoot a lot at work with a Nikon 800E and I got to say for my style, Nikon fits me much better. Also been looking at the Sony A7r as a bridge camera. Outstanding IQ.

And a Polaroid 1-step or some Fisher Price camera doesn't count.

:(:(:(

Here's a tale of woe that will hopefully get better today. I've been waiting on the delivery of a second hand 300 F2.8 IS (original version). It was supposed to be delivered yesterday - and it was, but not to my address.

I sat waiting on my day off yesterday jumping up to look out the window every time a car stopped outside. By late afternoon I was getting extra jumpy. Just after 5pm I checked the Australia Post tracking web site and it said it had been delivered - to a suburb about 2km from me. I immediately rang the AusPost help line and the guy on the other end immediately raised a investigation. He thinks the driver simply dropped it off at the wrong address. The email tracking receipt I received says two parcels were dropped off at that location...

I will be here today to accept the delivery, if they can retrieve it from the other address. At this stage it looks like the driver made a mistake and dropped my package off with another delivery. Australia Post are saying recovery is a 50/50% thing - a big worry.

And yes it is fully insured via the AusPost - I asked for this from the seller and checked in chat with the helpdesk. Apparently the driver (a contract driver) has to fork up the money in cases like this according to the AusPost helpdesk, incentive to get it right and fix up mistakes.

Hopefully the folks at the wrong address are quality people and give it back.

If I received a random package of camera awesomeness I sure would want to keep it, but the person who owns it needs to receive it. I'd try to work out a shared custody arrangement ;)

When I give baby presents it's usually something along the lines of handmade blankets and a package of diapers. Every baby needs to be wrapped up in something cute for all the pictures that will be taken.

I'd try to get it to its rightful owner (via giving it back to the delivery guy). I'm kinda funny that way.

a) I try to stay on the right side of God; in my mind, keeping it is akin to stealing.

b) Karma's a ****.
