Interesting story Chet but really? 22 year engagement? Love the shoe-cart though.

Nah, they've only been engaged for 3. They built their own chapel for the ceremony and had a perfect evening for a wedding outside.

My neighbours were together for a long time before they got married. On their 20th anniversary, when she walked into the kitchen where he was sitting at the table, he said "Don't you think it's about time we made this legal?"
They got married a few months before my sister did, 12 years ago.

This is the project that brought them together so long ago. They were commissioned to paint this golf cart shoe in 1992, and the rest was history.

Sweet ride.

Beautiful fall colors, dan!

Our engagement was really short. I proposed in August, just before I went back to school and got married in November when I graduated, 3 months.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

^love the fall colours Dan.

Off for some bird photography with the new lens soon. Weather prediction was for fog this morning but can't see any. A pity really as the birding location is good for early morning fog shots also.

My dad proposed in July and they got married at the end of October. The way I see it, if you're ready to get married there isn't much point to a long engagement - outside of things like school and such.

This has been the first day since summer kicked in that it's been awesome to spend outside. 81 degrees currently. Took a nap in a lounge chair after swimming. Perfect. :D

We've been sitting at highs in the low 70's. As long as it's sunny I find it really nice. Not quite nap outside nice, but definitely comfortable.

I dislike iTunes. But owning an iPhone makes it necessary to use. And right now it's moving all my info from my iPhone 4 to my new iPhone 6. :)

It is nothing but rain, rain and more rain in Orlando this week. This poor Sand Hill
crane was so wet he wanted to hop in the car.

That guy has an interesting change in feather colour with square edges. Neat.

Pity about the weather Dan, I on the other hand had a nice sunny morning. Only on the last one did I chuck on the 1.4 tele on the 300. All others are the 300 straight on the camera with a little crop in LR.

I would love some light along those lines. ISO 1600-3200 was the order of the day here. Lens looks like a keeper.

Yes, still getting used to it though. ISO 100 most of the time today.

I stuffed up so many shots of the red backed fairy wren male, small black bird against a dark background and small branches play havoc on AF. As it is the shot above the female is ok for focus but the male is OOF I think - just different positioning on the branch and hence the focal plane.

I turned down a chance to play with a 200 F1.8 - a friend was using his with a 2x tele. He used to have a 600 F4 and says this combo is better for hand holding.
