Maybe it is the amount of brushes you are using that is bogging down your system. I have heard of batch processing lasting a long time when using photoshop.

Chet showed up to keep the place interesting More info | Oct 03, 2014 15:34 | #6979 I did find this on the Adobe site. One thing that is worth noting: Adobe recommends that if brushwork becomes sluggish, lens correction be turned off and not reactivated until the end of the workflow. Because correcting for lens or perspective distortions requires that every pixel be relocated, this will greatly complicate the calculations of brush/feather/density locations in reference to the Raw original and cause slow-downs. It's odd, but worth a try. Others also recommended to upgrade to LR5.6. Isn't that the cloud version?

Jill-of-all-Trades far from having everything figured out! More info | Oct 03, 2014 15:42 | #6981 BearLeeAlive wrote in post #17191747 I too have done similar. A bunch of years back I took a swill of beer, and thought who the hell put a cigarette butt in my beer, then it started vibrating I realized it was a wasp, and before I could spit it out, it stung my lip. Took an hour or so for the swelling to go down, then all was good. A friend of mine did the same and nearly died though. He is allergic, and did not have an epi-pen handy, and was out camping, and got stung taking a drink. It took them almost an hour to get to a hospital, and when he got there he could hardly able to breath at all. He now always carries some sort of man purse with a pen in it. Well I now know that I won't die from it, but I sure do react to stings. My boss was ready to head to the hospital but I opted for getting antihistamines at the pharmacy. They kept the swelling under control. But now my cheek is rather swollen. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I can't be drugged all the time. The last time I was stung it took 6 weeks for the bruise to go away. Melody

I hate the idea of using multiple programs to do what one program seems to do well.

More info | Oct 03, 2014 20:29 | #6989 Chet...it sounds like you have a compound problem. Old computer, aggressive editing, lens corrections will all slow LR down...v 4.x was kind of a dog to begin with. Have you tried exporting the completed edits to your hard drive and clearing them from the system? People that know me call me Dan
