Dang! They don't sell the pieces individually?

Not that I have found... yet but I also haven't put much effort other than looking on the website I bought the tools from.

One thing I like about Snap-On is that they will sell individual pieces out of a set.

And you would be one of those people that I absolutely despise.

meanwhile the majority of the rest of the working world are at work at 7:30 in the morning, regardless of what days you work - so why would a garage be any different?

7:30 is about my morning break time. My days are variable depending on what needs discussion, but generally the first activity starts at 6:00 my time, sometimes 5:30, so by 7:30 I'm ready for a break. :) One of the downsides of working for a European company, our morning is their afternoon.

Because there is a limit to how many hours a person should be forced to be at that garage in one week. And when the majority of the customers showing up earlier than the garage opened were retirees and demanding that we should open even earlier just to serve them and their "busy" schedules.

And your afternoon is the end of their working day.

I'm usually at work around 5:30 AM, out by 6:00 PM. A fifteen minute break in the morning, an hour for lunch.

One good thing about 12-hour shifts... long weekends. I love 'em.

Yea, just about the time Japan and Korea kick in. :( The sun never sets on my job. I just stop when I get tired and sleep.

Actually, that is not far from the truth. My PC is on all the time. I get interrupts constantly from 6:00am to about 11:00pm. I shut things down between 11 and 6 but my phone sometimes jingles. It's not constant, but all told I probably put in 12+ hours a day.

My son is on a schedule like that 12 hour days for 4 days and 3 days off. That would be pretty nice I think.

I hear you on that front, JJ.

my projects are based in africa and the far east. main contractors are in korea or europe.

we are based in the US, but with specific experts in south africa, the UK and australia.

it can be testing to get a conference call together to address issues.

In a two-week (80-hour) pay period, I work three 12's, four off, three more 12's and an 8, three off. Four-day weekends are the bomb.

Yup. I actually use the windows clock tool and have clocks lined up across the top of my screen so I can remember who is in what time. :) Mornings seem to work the best hence the 5:30/6:am meetings. 6:00am here is 8:00pm in China and everyone else is somewhere in between.
