They may not have the greatest programming on a regular schedule,...

No channel does. THey all have their stinkers and their gems. Thank goodness for DVRs. No longer do you have to suffer through the crap. Just record the ones you want and skip the rest. I even DVR football games now. That way I get back over a hour of my life. I start the game, enjoy the day for an hour or two and then watch from DVR cutting out all of the commercials and skipping over 1/2 time. It's amazing at how much of the game is commercials.

It's an impressive installation. We were there the day after they started:

I missed out on buying one. Gutted, but I am sure it was fabulous to see in person.

Check out this video (external link)of the nearly-complete installation.

They're keeping the "Weeping Window" and "The Wave" (1st and 3rd of my photos) for the IWM London. Not sure how much of each that will be, though. And the Commonwealth War Graves Commission has relented and said if anyone leaves one of the poppies on a grave, they will leave it there unless it gets broken. Earlier they said they'd be removed the next time the grave underwent maintenance.

yes, there has been a huge petition to keep the commemoration for as long as possible, then it will be removed - a symbol of life moving on...

As you said, the wave and weeping window will stay until the end of the month.

Poppy removal will start tomorrow. So today is the only day to see all 888,246 poppies

Monday we were ar 80 and today we will be lucky to hit 40. This morning it got down to 30.2, way too cold.

It can get pretty cool here at times. Southern Idaho generally stays a little warmer this time of the year though.:)

Yesterday I spent many hours working outdoors in a t-shirt. Now it's +1C. Winter weather is creeping closer, snow is supposed to fly on Sunday. At this time of year, the lake is still considered to be warm, and it can keep us in a bubble for awhile.

Got some really nice ones there. The mountains mane a real nice backdrop. Gives them a sense of speed.
