Some might see the humor in this. Perhaps we should make a group purchase. Geo-caching isn't the only Tupperware game in the woods!

I was watching TV a couple nights ago on my couch, and felt something on my neck. I kinda swatted/brushed it off, then turned on the light to see what it was... nice big juicy Black Widow. Must've been in the blanket I had just put over me that hadn't been used for a while.

:):):)
I had something similar. I was tearing down my mom-in-laws old chicken coup and felt something crawling up my bicep. I looked before I swatted and it was a big'ol black widow. My first instinct was to scream like a little girl but I maned up and just brushed it off. My wife was impressed and I earned some man points that day. She said "you know that was a black widow" and i said "yea." So manly. ;)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Creepy crawlies don't often get much of a reaction out of me. I absolutely hate earwigs, but I don't freak out when I encounter them. I have seen Black Widow spiders around here, but they weren't on me. I have never encountered a scorpion outside of a tank, but I really do not like the sight of them.

Mosquitoes get me riled up.

We have black widows but for the most part they stay out of our home. We do have house centipedes, they are 'good' insects but creepy and run crazy fast. They make a large mess when squished, especially at night on your arm.

Since we live out in the sticks, we have all sorts of bugs, including spiders of all varieties. They don't bother me as much as the mosquitoes who carry and spread the West Nile Virus.

It's odd, we have almost zero mosquito problem in Pendleton but any of the neighboring communities it's horrible. I can't remember the last time I was bit by one.

Not many mosquitos here. Lots of scorpions and Black Widows. In fact, when we were putting up decorations yesterday, my wife found a scorpion on the wall that hadn't been there a few minutes before. (The scorpion. The wall has been there for a while. I have to make that clear, because there are some wiseacres here who would jump all over that.)

:-P That was my first thought... and a random wall appeared...

Skeeters here are almost a constant, even on the warmer winter days. They aren't bad now but you can still see them occasionally. Some bite like crazy but we have these new ones that are huge, about three times the size of the biters. Haven't been bitten by one of those yet but I imagine that it would feel like drilling a 1/8" hole in your arm.

I should have a Tamron 24-70 arriving on Wednesday via Mr. Brownshorts.

This will be the first time in... forever... or at least since I've been into photography... that there's nothing on my wish list. Time to die?

Nothing on your wish list? That can't be. There is *always* something you *need.*
