Yup. Teamspeed shows the Quote tool box on the right. All the tool boxes can be moved wherever you want on the screen.

https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=17310910

This is all I have from my screen captures. You can click the names as you compose the mq, the tools allow you to arrange them anyway you would like. You can also just hit insert all to get them all at once.

Once you've hit MQ/Reply, hover your pointer over the "Quote" word in the toolbox on the left side. You'll see several quote commands appear. You can either selectively insert a quote, or insert all at that point.

I rented the new 100-400 and took it to the Rose Parade. I'll get some shots posted later today after I unpack. The IS is impressive. Can't say I like the twist zoom, but I suspect that's a matter of personal preference.

Thanks you two! That worked. Very cool.

Tim, Wool mentioned that you had rented the lens. That is why I checked back in.

Yes, I rented it and am still evaluating it. I'm getting some results that are not what I expected. I need to go back and re run some tests tomorrow.

Here's I shot I took at the Rose Parade. Only cropped, but otherwise SOOC RAW file converted to JPG by Lightroom 5.7. This is f/5.6 @ 400mm.

If you've ever watched the Love Boat, you may recognize this guy. :-D

I just posted a thread about this, but thought I'd ask you guys as well, since I know a few of you fellas have nothing better to do (although it's been quiet in here today). Anyway... CPL filters: for pretty much the same price, Marumi or B+W? I thought Marumi were supposed to be inexpensive for very good quality. But it looks like these two are almost identical. Thoughts?

B+W 82mm Kaesemann XS-Pro Circular Polarizer MRC Nano Filter for $180.50

Marumi 82mm EXUS Circular Polarizer Filter for for $178.95

These are B&H prices, btw.

Tim, we went to the Rose Parade several years ago. I couldn't believe how packed we were in the bleachers. Kinda sucked. The floats and weather were nice, though. Were you in good seats, and would you go again?

Not much of a savings. For a buck and a half i would go B+W for sure.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

That's what I'm thinking. What happened to Marumi prices? And this is supposedly the best in the B+W line.

Thanks for the comments on the photos.

Can't help on the filters moose.

Trying to convince myself to walk the 100m to the beach and look for stuff to shoot. Sunrise was over an hour ago but it's cloudy and grey now. Maybe a few shots with a lot of nd filters. (-28.50815, 153.54982).

Not living, renting a beach house for a week. Good friends are staying a street away and they back directly onto the beach. We've sort of split our time between the two places, we can sit on our deck and keep a eye on our kids playing in the park next door. From their deck it is 20m to the beach.

New Brighton is very small, only a cafe and small store. Most houses are 30-40 years old at least, but have modern renovations.

Been watching HGTV's Leave It To Bryan (home reno show), the one couple was talking about the amazing view they have outside of a bank of windows in the renovated area of the home. The "view" is of a handful of trees about 15 feet away from the window. That's it, just a bunch of leaves with the neighbour's house on the other side. Dad and I just laughed at that. Using Google Earth to confirm it, our south view is expansive. Our house faces south and the deck is on the front of the house. 90 meters from the front of the house is the railroad. At 1/2 a kilometer is a bush area. Finally, 2 kilometers away, is the nearest neighbour (in that direction). Living on the edge of a very small community (30 people) is nice. :)

Hi guys. *waves*
Wool told me that there'd be some 100-400 shots (from the new lens) popping up in here sometime soon. I haven't even figured out the new forum yet, but I'm just popping in to say hullo...we are not dead...we still have cameras (back to canon ones even) and all is well. I think I'm subscribed to this now.

I have to return this rented lens tomorrow, so I'm spending time with it, rather than post processing my Rose Parade shots. But here are some things I've found so far.

I don't think that I rented the sharpest copy of the EF 100-400L MkII. In a comparison against my very sharp "old" 100-400 made in July of 2008, the 400mm focal length test between the two lenses was a draw at f/8. I was VERY surprised to find that my "old" 100-400 is sharper at f/5.6. I tripled checked that test and had my son verify the results. The MkII was definitely not as sharp at f/5.6, and there was no discernible difference at f/8. At other focal lengths, we had to do some serious pixel peeping and it too was a mixed bag of results, with the MkII very slightly sharper overall.

My experience with this particular copy of the MkII mirrors what Roger Cicala found in his review of the MkII HERE.

As others have reported, the new IS is amazing. Handheld 400mm shots at 1/30th of a second are very doable. I didn't time it, but the AF seems to be faster.

I'm not getting into the twist zoom vs push pull debate. I think its a matter of personal preference. I prefer push-pull and the rented copy of the MkII was loose enough that I could grab the hood and use it that way.

I hated the new foot and collar.

Even though BH Photo has it in stock and my checking account could cover that purchase, I won't be buying it. Mind you, I am very tempted because of the improved IS, but for the type of shooting I do, I just can't see spending $2200 at this time. If I ever begin shooting BIF, weddings in dark churches from the back of the choir loft, or old age tremors set in to the point where I can't hold a lens still enough, I reserve the right to reconsider that decision.

I have no idea. I haven't bought filters in decades, although I probably will have to buy some in the near future. I committed myself to do some artifact photography at the railroad museum where I currently volunteer and I may need new polarizers. I lost all of mine several years ago when I lost a pouch holding several for various lenses at an air show.

I think I'll just go ahead and get the B+W. Can't go wrong with that brand. Particularly the Kaesemann MRC. Excellent reviews.

I've always been happy with the Kaesemann MRC. If you have a serious investment in quality lenses, it makes no sense to put a lower quality filter on the front end of the lens.

Oh, I agree. But from what I've heard, Marumi is not on the lower end of the quality spectrum. However, for basically the same price, why bother switching? I was just wondering if someone knew something about the comparison between the two, that I wasn't figuring in.
