Tim, we went to the Rose Parade several years ago. I couldn't believe how packed we were in the bleachers. Kinda sucked. The floats and weather were nice, though. Were you in good seats, and would you go again?

Our bleachers were packed too, but my trip planner made certain I got an aisle "seat" when she made the reservations. It made it more comfortable and also better for photography because I was shooting over the aisle and not dealing with someone next to me on the side where the floats were approaching.

A family in the row in front of us had to keep one of their small children on their laps because of the crowded conditions. The other folks in their row tried to make more room, but their was no space.

I felt sorry for some other folks who were sitting behind a dufus that stood up to take a picture with his iPad every time a float approached. He was an Oregon Ducks fan, and when he wasn't standing up, he was waving a "GO DUCKS" sign. The folks behind him were not happy.

If/when I go back, I would not sit in the bleachers.

Was.... different.

Alexander's buddy was mauled by a pitbull, when my wife and alexander were going to meet them at the park. Luckily being cold, she had layers galore on, so ended up with a few bite marks on her chest but nothing more... thankfully, it did not go for the arms or face etc.

Then he wanted to make a chocolate cake. Kitchen was a messy disaster :) Cake looks great though!

Nice and easy weekend before the temps plunge!

Happy Monday! Good to hear that Alexander's friend wasn't badly hurt.

Lots of projects for the new year. Seems like I only got about half of last year's list done.

+1

As far as weather, it's going to be in the mid to upper 60's this week. Maybe hit 70. Crazy. Last week the freeze protection had my pool pumps running every day until late morning.

Same here. Last week it was all about frost warnings. This week it looks like it will be in the mid to upper 60's.

Looks like I can't use the weather as an excuse to avoid working on outdoor projects this week. Rats! :p

Yesterday morning was 30F and freezing rain. Today it's currently 51F outside. Such odd weather we've had this season.

Well, the world is coming to an end soon, so silly weather is to be expected.

Whoa!!Is she ok? That's horrible. My fur-neice was mauled by a pitbull just before thanksgiving. She is on the mend but got tore up bad.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I have switched over filtering to nighttime letting the freeze protection do the filtering for me. It's been running for a few hours about every other night.
