she is fine thanks. just some scratches and bite marks.

like i said, luckily it was cold that a 2.5 yr old needed 3 layers of shirts & tops, and a thick jacket on top of that. Also very fortunate it didn't go for the arms, hands or face.

no puncturing of the skin...

the joys of a townhouse though. we keep our heat lowish. neighbours on both sides have it high.

i couldn't sleep last night, as our place was 72°F indoors, when our heat was set at 64°F....

who knows what they keep their heat at for that!!!

-21°C currently. With the 12mph winds I'm sure it feels a bit cooler.

I have switched over filtering to nighttime letting the freeze protection do the filtering for me.

I usually do that this time of year, but I've been remiss this time.

Last year I shut everything down but I have been lazy this year. Maybe today I'll drain the filter and turn it off until next month. Save some electricity.

We just drain our pool every year. With the cost of electricity here it's still cheaper to drain it and refill it.

Alexander's buddy was mauled by a pitbull, when my wife and alexander were going to meet them at the park. Luckily being cold, she had layers galore on, so ended up with a few bite marks on her chest but nothing more... thankfully, it did not go for the arms or face etc.

Where did the pit come from? Did animal control com get it? That's horrible, I couldn't imagine how scared that little one must have been.

I like it cold when sleeping as well. 60 is even a bit warm for me. 55 is better, more conducive to a bit of snuggling. ;)

it was at a park, where dogs are allowed off the leash. His buddy has a dog too, an 11yr old mutt. now since i wasn't there, i am not sure if the pit was off the leash or not. but the mother gave it a kick to get it off her daughter, and then the owner got full control of it.

My sister wanted my to photograph the rehearsal for her sons h.s. musical yesterday. I told her I didn't think I could pull it off, I was correct. I had 4 Canon flashes off stage at 1/2 power, the director said "You don't think there's enough light?" I laughed and said, no. I had 3 camera's the 5dc, my xti and a T5i. I got a couple ok shots, but with all of the movement and the inconsistent lighting across the stage it was poor. The 5dc I use went to Canon for the shutter replacement and since the battery indicator always reads 1-bar, but it was flashing so I was only able to use it for the group shot. 45 kids on risers across the stage, yeah not so easy to shoot.

So it was pretty much a waste of 4 hours for me. I need a modern camera.

Shame to wake up and put on SportsCenter early yesterday morning and be greeted with the passing away of Stuart Scott. My father and I would eat breakfast together in the 90's watching him anchor the show.
