Jill-of-all-Trades far from having everything figured out! More info | Jan 07, 2015 13:00 | #8628 I've watched that video before and it made me motion sick. The conditions of the height are what gets to me. I have no problem walking around on a roof if it's not a steep pitch. I'm usually the person that gets the job of laying the first few rows of shingles on the bottom edge. Climbing ladders is usually not a problem, unless it's one of those cheap ones that shakes and feels like it's going to collapse under you. Pretty much, if it's safe, I'm good. Melody

I have no fear of heights and sort of enjoy that tingle feeling you get when your out in the open. I am really careful with ladders though as I do have a fear of falling. It's not the falling exactly, I have a fear of stopping abruptly at the end of the fall. OUCH!! Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Problem is how much you have to stretch. It is almost like doing a few hundred one legged lunges. Philip

you have to be in shape for any site work really. On a regular power plant construction site, I can get to walk around 8-10 miles a day, up and down ladders, stairs, going up and down HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators), exhaust stacks, elevated grounds, into tunnels for large piping etc.

LVMoose Moose gets blamed for everything. More info | Jan 07, 2015 14:55 | #8634 Hmmm. Okay skip that. I guess the optimum job for getting some walking in would be serving drinks on the beach at an all-female clothing-optional resort in the tropics. Upper-body exercise coming from giving massages on the side. I think I'll go apply. Moose

Greg_C Cream of the Crop More info | Jan 07, 2015 15:30 | #8637 Had a go at the moon rise last night. Not 100% happy with these but it's something to work from. Had a few issues with lens flare that I've cropped out or spot healed in LR. I'd been on the beach in the arvo and there was lots of low cloud on the horizon so hopes were down. Might go back tonight as I really wanted a shot of the moon just above the horizon, maybe short exposure of the moon and long exposure for the water and blend. That would be cool to do. I think I would have to whip myself into better shape though. It has been a few years since I climbed 240 kV transmission towers. -JIM-
