Does a topic exist that does not remind you of something sexual?

Wait. I'm still thinking...

I'll get back to you if anything comes to mind.

Back to the filter post that I'm following. Do any of you guys put the lens cap back in the box as soon as you get the lens, never to be used again, and just keep a filter on your lens full time? Even if you keep a protective filter on your lens, why wouldn't you cap it when not in use? Seems like just puting the camera in and taking it out of your bag might scuff the filter. This makes no sense to me.

I like to take the lens cap off when I start shooting, and then place it in my back pocket. I'll usually then casually forget that it is back there, and sit on it 2 or 3 times before I realize what I've done.

I don't bother with "protective filters". I just use my gear carefully.

I also put my lens cap in my back pocket and usually sit on it.

The kind of posts on FB that really irritate me are things like this:

QUOTED IMAGE
IMAGE LINK: https://www.flickr.com …36800807@N08/16092063570/ (external link)
FB (external link) by mistermooster (external link), on Flickr

Of course, it's purple!

Look how she says she pays attention to you and keeps you in her thoughts "whether you know it or not," but when the direction reverses, that isn't good enough for her. Keeping her in your thoughts doesn't cut it. She needs a sign from you, and she'll be watching.

She seems to subscribe to the popular notion that thinking about people at a distance benefits them, as if she's been doing you a favor all this time and why didn't you notice?

I always use the lens cap, but also i only put on a CPL when I need to, and take it off when I don't.

Lens cap goes on when I am not shooting. I only use a filter when I need a filter, I don't use the protective filters either.

Same (unless I'm getting into sea spray or waterfall spray). And I always use a hood, too... except for macro.

Keeping a CPL on full time is just the nuttiest thing I've heard of.

I really hate waiting for the UPS truck. USPS was hear at around 11 this morning to deliver all of my new batteries. I picked up backup sets from Wasabi Power for all three of my cameras, I don't think there is a wall socket in the apartment that doesn't have batteries charging on it. Now I just need for UPS to get here with my Rokinon 14mm so I can quit pretending to work and go out and play...

Same here. Early days I did use protective filters but haven't bothered for many years. I'm 50/50 with lens hoods depends on my feelings at the time.

...Wasabi...

On two different occasions, I've actually taken days off from work to wait for high-ticket items coming via Mr. Brownshorts. Both times it arrived in the evening (after 6:00), when I would have been home anyway :(

I love Wasabi batteries. Good choice.

These will be my first non-canon batteries. Do you find that the extra capacity makes any real difference in how long they last? they have about 1/3 more capacity than my Canon batteries and especially for the M I am hoping that means more run time. Although I guess it wont matter too much since I have three batteries now.

Edit: I'm gunna be so dissapointed if he doesn't get here til 6. It will be dark then :-(

They seem to last a little longer than my Canon batteries, but I couldn't say how much longer. I just know they work at least as well, and are hecka cheap.
