How about a locomotive with no wheels on a truck?

As for photos, I have flowers that I worked on last weekend, taken at the Chicago Botanical Gardens last October.

A water lily,

An orchid, believe it or not,

And a B&W of a cacti,

That's an orchid?!? That's the kind of weird looking plant that I'd love to have.

A little vial of touch-up paint, and it'll look brand-spankin' new.

Cool orchid, Becky.

We just made reservations for Glacier NP in August. It's a two-day drive each way (17 hours); hope it's worth it. Staying in the park ain't cheap, either.

They had several, special showing, this is the only one where I could get it isolated against the black background. The others had flowers in front of them that I couldn't crop out.

Here is the B&W version:

Just a little hot here today. It got up to 39°C an hour or two ago but a change has come through and it's now only 35°C. The downside is, it is a moist change so the humidity is rising. Hoping for a storm to cool things down more.

About 10am today I climbed onto the roof to fault find my weather station. The rechargeable batteries were flat after two year in service and trickle charge via a solar cell. My hands got that hot and sweaty they started to prune up like they do in water.

Hey folks. Sup!! Just got back from another 36 hour marathon road trip. Very strange thing happened this time. Both Oklahoma and Missery cops have gone crazy. They were out in force, and I mean like one every 5 miles and were pulling over nearly everyone. We got pulled over and issues a warning because out rear tire crossed a solid white line at the OK toll. I mean seriously, they have nothing better to do than write this up? Then the cop drove the wrong way to get back to the toll booth and pulled someone else over. In total, we counted 8 cop cars 7 pulled over just at the toll booth. Coming back it was the same thing.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

JJ - we see a lot of that on holiday weekends here. Especially when there's a big winery event.

Traci_Ann - that's quite a title. :-D

I got nailed Wednesday night on my way home. The one major route out of the city used to be three lanes, one in each direction and a turning lane in the middle. Now the turning lane is gone and it is a nice wide, straight, open highway going out into the country, with an 80 km/hr speed limit until the township line. I don't really know how fast I was going, I was listening to music and daydreaming, until I got pulled over. Cop reduced the ticket to 15 over, which is only $52 and no points on your license. 20 over is the first level with points.
