BeckyN "full of baloney" More info | Jan 26, 2015 19:10 | #9064 Jill-of-all-Trades wrote in post #17401315 Puppy on the run! Baron was a yellow lab/greyhound cross. He absolutely loved to run, especially through fresh snow. This was in our front yard where the powder was over knee deep, he just ran till he dropped. We've got one of those... It can also be near freezing outside but if the water isn't freezing he will be in it. BeckyWomen and Cats will do as they please. Men and dogs had better get used to it. ~ Robert Heinlein; Procrastinate now! Don't put it off.. ~Cat (CFPackerfan)

Jill-of-all-Trades far from having everything figured out! More info | Jan 26, 2015 22:04 | #9067 His name was Baron. My sister's boyfriend bought him at a garage sale. Neighours were selling the litter, one neighbour had a yellow lab, the other had a greyhound, fence wasn't tall enough. Baron was the runt of the litter, but was always healthy. He was pure black, but had a brown tinge to him in sunlight. His front legs and chest were lab, his back, rib cage, stomach, and back legs were all greyhound. Head, ears, and tail were a mix. As a puppy his back legs would outrun his front legs, he'd trip and roll, and get right back up at full tilt. He was very smart and you could teach him any trick you could think of. Tell him to speak and he'd bark. Tell him to whisper and he'd softly talk to you. Tell him to cry and he'd whine. Ask him if he wanted it (or just hold up a pizza crust) and he'd tell you "I want it". Clearly. Actually, if you had pizza crusts, he'd do every trick he knew over and over again in front of you until you gave up that crust. Melody
