Railroads will never get credit for outstanding body work. Can you imagine if your local garage did this to your car?

It's definitely not spring here either. Spring can wait, I want to go skiing.

I'm going skiing this weekend for the first time in like 5 years. Best of all I'm getting paid to do it. I work for a place that does experiential education and we are taking a group of families with recently returned from deployment military parents and teenage children. Its going to be a hectic weekend but these trips are always a blast.

I hear there's 4" of fresh snow on the mountain an hour outside of town. Maybe I'll take the puppy up there in the next day or two... if I can break away from the pool issues I'm having.

Luggage tug. Like airlines use, but smaller - pulls a bunch of suitcase-laden carts to/from the baggage car.

Pennsylvania Railroad's finest. Has a small tricycle wheel on the front and hard rubber tires on the rear. Definitely built for function and not comfort. I'm not sure why they didn't have the baggage carts attached.

Everyone still alive?

We got a bit more snow this afternoon. With the wind direction we won't get much more overnight, but to the east of here there is a good lake effect pattern dropping snow where the ski hill is. Planning on going out tomorrow afternoon.
Last year I was not enjoying my (sports) winter coat. I checked the dates on some of the ski lift tags that I still have on it, oldest one was 2008, and I know I had it before then. So it's been through a few winters. SportChek has all their winter coats on sale right now, so I went and picked a new one up. Better technology so it's a lot lighter and not so bulky. As much as I love winter, I hate being bulky. Which is probably one of the driving factors behind my tendency to not wear a coat unless it's really cold or I'll be outside for any length of time.
Bonus part of buying at SportChek is they now offer Scene points. 1 point per pre-tax dollar, which adds up fast when you're buying sports equipment. And I have a Scene debit card through my bank, so for every $5 spent on my debit card I get a point. Doesn't take long to add up to a free movie ticket.
