Reminds me of a few too many cold Michigan winters. Brrr!

We're at 65f right now, with a predicted high of 71. No rain. It's official - this is the driest January in recorded weather history for us.

I've been restoring some old photos over the last week. About 2hrs work on this one, mostly clone or spot healing. Learnt a new trick to treat the colour casts. Used the eydropper to sample color and made a new blank layer filled with the color. Invert the layer and switch blend mode to hue, take opacity to 45%, now the color cast is gone. Seems this is the 932nd way to do this.

I thought the stains were going to be a big issue but this method along with some levels grey point adjustment did the trick.

Survived an evening of skiing at the local molehill. Cold temps, fresh powder, and newly waxed skis made for some very fast conditions. Not only fast, but easily maneuvered. An excellent outing.

I'll see how well I sleep tonight.

We're experiencing slightly different weather. Was perfect conditions for last night's activities.

Not much snow for the dog to play in.

We almost headed to Mt Charleston for the snow, but figured it might be crowded, being a Saturday. He had fun anyway :)

All the snow loving puppies will be having fun around here! Wish I had snowshoes.

Wind is out of the north, so the house acts like a snow fence, and the snow all piles up on our front deck. Up to 8 3/4" deep already, and it's not supposed to stop till sometime tomorrow. Everything is going to be so pretty and fluffy!

All these beautiful snow photos, as I look outside to the grey drizzle going on a month now.

Snow Day!!!

Constant north winds have created a whole lot of drifting around here. I stuck a ruler in the snow on the deck last night to measure how deep it was getting. Took this picture before I went to bed.

Went looking for the ruler this morning...

Just a little bit of snow.

No snow plow to be seen.

The neighbours on either side of us love playing in the snow.

Time to shovel.

Loving the snow pics but glad I don't have to shovel anything but sunshine. ;) :)

We've got lots of sunshine today too! In between the driving snow at least. And the shoveling is easy, it's all powder.
