I talked to my peeps back in the frozen tundra and they are struggling with the fine powder as well but underneath they have about 8" of heavy wet snow which is now frozen into a solid block. The powder is easy to move but the stuff underneath, not so much. Mostly chopping, then scooping the blocks.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Great looking snow, Mel. I sure wish we had some of that. Last weeks temps in the upper teens melted most of ours away.

We had wet snow first as well, and now it's all ice. Always, always move the wet snow while it's still wet! Our driveway and all gravel roads have a solid layer of ice under all the snow. Any paved roads that didn't get well cleared are icy as well.

Snow Day!!!

Constant north winds have created a whole lot of drifting around here. I stuck a ruler in the snow on the deck last night to measure how deep it was getting. Took this picture before I went to bed.

Went looking for the ruler this morning...

Oh there it is!
QUOTED IMAGE

Just a little bit of snow.

No snow plow to be seen.

The neighbours on either side of us love playing in the snow.

Time to shovel.

Lovely looking snow, Mel. :)

After the snow (still going on with minimal visibility), the frigid temps...

And with those frigid temps, the patriots parade tomorrow!

I was glad to see the Pats win, or more appropriately, I was glad to see Seattle lose. Can't stand Richard Sherman.

I think that this is the first SB ever that I had absolutely no opinion on. Usually I either hope one team wins or more likely one team looses, but this year I had no option either way. Watched it more for the commercials than anything else and they were rather lame this year. I loved the 1/2 time stage though. Pretty impressive. Not a big Katy Perry fan but I got to say the visuals were really impressive.

Missy Elliott made a pretty great appearance, maybe even enough to keep her from drifting back in to obscurity.

Agreed on the "I don't care who wins or loses" point for the SB this year.

Also, HELLO AGAIN!

As games go though, it was actually pretty well played until the very end. What the heck was the fight all about?

This year, like all years prior, I had no idea the super bowl was yesterday until it was already happening. Also like all the years prior, I didn't watch or care who won. :p

I watched most of the SuperBowl but skipped the halftime show. I'm not really a football fan, and I don't care about the teams, but I do enjoy watching a good game now and then. It was a good game. I don't like watching runaway games, but when both sides put up a good fight, it keeps me entertained.
Mainly I would watch for the commercials, but Canadian TV providers air their own commercials (CRTC is changing this policy, will be in effect for the 2017 game). So unless I hook up the antenna again and manage to pull in a Detroit station, I don't get to see them air live.

Are you Canadian, or what? ;-)a

No, even Mel knew it was on. I don't know whether to tell you to get out of the cave, or the bottle.

Mel always knows when the SuperBowl is on, and who is playing. Had a couple of parties to choose between, but ended up staying home due to the weather. Mel also understands the game.
