That is my kind of entertainment!! I really should go to the track more often, it's not as though there aren't any around here. Grand Bend Motorplex has a 1/4 mile drag strip, 1/4 mile high banked paved oval, road course, and motocross facility. They host the annual IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals. It's less than an hour drive from me. Delaware Speedway is a 1/2 mile paved oval, and is one of Canada's oldest, continuously operated tracks. NASCAR Canadian Tire Series runs there. My sister and BIL used to run in the Enduro races there. It's about 45 minutes drive away if you take the back roads. The St. Thomas Raceway Park, or Sparta (actual location), is a 1/4 mile drag strip. It's about 90 minutes from here.
Michigan International Speedway isn't all that far away either, two hours drive at the most, and I've never been.

Main reason why I don't go to the track very often - very few of my friends would ever go. Someday, if I ever have both the time and the money, I'd like to take my nephew to a NASCAR race.

Local track racing is so much more entertaining than the big guys.

It is. Especially when you know some of the participants. And it's cheap to attend. Delaware's prices start at $14 for the enduro races, and go up to $35 for the Great Canadian Race Weekend - or $45 for an advanced sale weekend pass.

Back in IL we had a really nice small oval a few miles from the house. Use to go out and watch the locals pit their skillz against one another. I think it was something like $10 weeknights and $15 weekends.

Now I did go shoot a cheer leading event Friday evening at a high school basketball game. That was really kinda fun to watch.

And you could use the musk to cover your scent while hunting other critters. Apply generously.

Optical hunting only. Tried the other kind a long time ago and it all seemed so pointless and unfair. Anyone can pull a trigger and put a hole in some furry critter. I suppose there is the skill of hitting a target but heck, shoot at a paper target then. No need to kill for target practice.
