It would be really nice if it would take EF-S lenses as well. One of the reasons I have not sold the 7D is because of the 17-55. That lens rocks.

Only if it auto-switched to the 1.6x crop when one was mounted. Otherwise there'd be too many people buying the body and complaining that it sucked because the corners of all the pictures they took with their 18-55 were dark, and that never happened with their T3!

The same way I feel about my EF-S 10-22 and 40D. But it's good to have a back-up body, or one for the wife/SO to use if you're both shooting at the same time.

When I picked up the 17-4 for my 5D I sold the 10-22 and have regretted it ever since.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I agree, it should auto-switch

With a manual override in the custom functions. I can't think of any good reason but inevitably someone would want it.

I'm thinking Canon should let POTNers develop their next camera :-)

And then give us a discount on it

That's a great idea!!

I want all the toys, all the bells, and all the whistles. I want it to fit my hand size, with the buttons where I can reach them. Be super lightweight, super strong, waterproof, and fog resistant.

And cost under $1k. :D

Can't be too small and lightweight; it's gotta balance well with the big honkin' lenses we're going to design.

What big, honkin' lenses? The 15 oz. 10-1200 mm f/1.4 constant aperture parfocal zoom?

don't forget 3-position IS and built-in 2X TC

15 oz. is just silly. It's gotta be at least 19 oz.

It'd be no end of trouble for Canon. Look how loudly the POTNistas complained about the new software. And it was free.
