what, the word?

I think it's "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." Not, "if you don't know, you can't afford it."

Dang gingers

That was always the joke when I was growing up. If asked for specifics about something and you didn't know you just told them they couldn't afford it.

I'm cooking chicken stir-fried rice, tempura shrimp, and spring roles tonight after work. Will that do?

I know I'm mixing cultures, but what the hell.

I thought that was only if they asked the price. It makes no sense, otherwise.

"What color car did you just buy?"

"Pffft. If you have to ask, you can't afford it."

See, that makes no sense.

Not necessarily I once had a car that was "royal champagne"(brown) according to the paint code.

"what color car did you just buy?"

"Pffft. It's Royal Champagne Peasant"

It really was, it was kind of a sparkly brown/tan. It was especially strange on a late 80's truck... I don't think I would have it again. It looked much better once it had been bedlinered... so says high school me.

Psst, solepatch! That side trip wouldn't have occurred if you'd written: "Pffft. It's Royal Champagne, peasant." Moose was poking at your making "peasant" look like part of the name.

I'll keep checking in today in case anyone needs more translations from English.

As far as pizza goes, I used to like thick-crust or deep-dish, now I much prefer thin, relatively crispy, crusts. Funny how tastes change.

I always liked thin crust pizza. Actually, maybe it's in the middle somewhere. Some of these places make the real thin, almost like a cracker thin crust. I want a little heft to it.

I'm not a fan of thin, crispy crusts. I like the good old normal crust. Deep dish is great as long as it's hot and fresh. The pizza we had in Chicago was awesome, but the I was really impressed with the bruschetta. However they made it, it was miles above any other I've ever had.
