A lot of cities are doing that. Fortunately, our city just posted a statement saying that not only do they still allow tobogganing, but that they've sent out city workers to inspect hills for any potential problems, and that in Centennial park (where there was a recent hazardous material abatement) they've made the berms even higher.

He doesn't have a sled yet?

No, he is spoiled, but he does have panniers he uses. The Golden Retriever I had when I was a young adult, did pull a sled into the backcountry. She just loved doing it, and was always very excited at the prospects in hand when saw saw the harness come out. She afforded luxuries like a big box of wine on multi-day ski trips.

Hope everyone's gotten all the required flowers, chocolates, and mushy cards.

Mother Nature has been doing lots of landscaping around here today. She started up last night and hasn't let up, and isn't expected to until tomorrow night. The radar shows that there hasn't been much snow coming down, but it's sure blowing around plenty. Highways are all closed again and the drifts have taken over. It's been a good napping day, and after spending most of the day skiing yesterday, I need the naps.

We tried out the local fancy dining restaurant, mediocre food for exorbitant prices. Then watched 50 Shades of Grey, horrible, horrible movie.

I haven't read the book, don't really care to, and after reading lots of commentaries on the book/movie, I really don't want to see it. Even reading the "I love it!" commentaries have not left a good impression. Just the review of it being very poorly written is enough to keep me away as I cannot stand poor writing.
Lots of other books/movies out there.

Too bad about the fancy place having not-so-fancy food. That's always disappointing.

NASCAR has returned, so life is better now!

We had pizza and watch Edge of Tomorrow. Pretty decent movie I though. Sort of like groundhog day meets War of the Worlds on steroids. :)

It's currently -2F (-26F with windchill). Had a 2L bottle of Coke that was warm, put it outside on the deck for awhile and now it's almost a slushie. :)

Lake effect snow is upon us once again, so the drifts are really growing. Haven't had a snowplow come around all day, I imagine that they've been pulled off the roads until the storm dies down.

You have us beat. It's still 0°F here at the moment. Should drop another couple and wind chills will hit -25°F. Tomorrow we have a high of 4°F to look forward to.

Looking forward to our balmy high of 19F tomorrow. Planning a hike as long as the weather holds up.

Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 5F, but the wind isn't supposed to die down till late in the day. Getting to church in the morning might not be possible.

Got about two chapters into the book and gave up, quality of the writing was awful; my good lady got to about chapter 4 and binned it for the same reason.

Sorry about the restaurant, hate when that happens. We had a lovely meal yesterday at a restaurant owned by a couple, he English, she Japanese, living in Spain and they combine all 3 cultures in a wonderful fusion of food :-D

It's a cold one this morning! -12F, feels like -35F. Sun and it's dogs are shining brightly, but just to the west is an ominous bank of snow and clouds. Time to put some snow gear on and start shoveling.
