We kinda spread Valentine's Day over two nights; PF Chang's for dinner Friday, and a movie last night. "The Imitation Game," was very good.

It was about 80F yesterday. Just right for a nap in the shade.

It's beautiful outside!! I love these temperatures. Just went out for a walk to the sideroad to see how bad it's drifted. Crisp, clean air with fresh, white snow everywhere. :D

Sounds very nice.

I've mentioned before that one thing I like about snow is the silence that a nice thick blanket of it gives. Another is being out in it on a moonlit night. I've camping in it a few times in my life, and being out in a forest with the moon shining on the snow when no one else is up and around... unforgettable.

Yup, I love the sound deadening. Even the trains are tamed down.

Yea.. I'm sure it's gorgeous, but I prefer sitting under my lanai, sipping a morning coffee listening to the birdies singing while surfing the web. Yea.. much better.

We had pizza and watch Edge of Tomorrow. Pretty decent movie I though. Sort of like groundhog day meets War of the Worlds on steroids. :)

I just saw that recently. It was kinda funny in places...

It is rather silly at times, I enjoyed it. One of the sleepers from last year, it did not do well.

-1F outside today and I'm getting ready to fly out of state for work tomorrow... I think next weekend if it's slightly less cold out I'll go shoot up on lake ontario.

Well Dad and I have ventured out. All the news folks and Facebook dwellers are crying doom and gloom out on the roads, but we decided to see for ourselves. Getting out to the main road took a little skillful driving, but from there the roads have been plowed. Still have packed snow on them but only incompetent drivers have problems with that. Went 5 kms east and then 15 kms south to Petrolia for lunch and groceries. Brilliant sunshine and nary a wind driven flake to be seen. Further to the east or west may have bad conditions, but here it's beautiful. Really wish I had a snowmobile.

Lot less wind here today than yesterday. Currently 1ºf with wind chills of -11ºf. The sun is shining and that makes a lot of difference in the world. Good day for baking bread and other hobby stuff.

60f right now with a predicted high of 78f. Perfect for hiking the new trail that just opened up. 8 miles and 2,000 feet of elevation. Should be fun.

I love home made bread hot fro the oven. We picked up a pizza stone a while back and it is perfect for breads.

It takes a while to heat up but it holds it's heat or hours. We got ours custom cut to fit our oven and the 1" thick stone. Also, home made pizzas are fantastic. The crust turns out perfectly.

Loaf just came out of the oven.

The recipe I have is a 2 day process. It is sourdough, I got the starter from my SIL in November. It is time consuming, but the best sourdough I've ever made.

Forgot to say, Curt made me dinner last night. First time in 24 years that we really did anything for Valentines. Since our anniversary is on Ground Hogs day, we just skip over Valentines.
