We have more snow than we have had in 17 years here, we currently have around a foot and a half on the ground. It been pretty efficient at causing chaos here. I haven't been to work since last Friday and the roads were really only cleared temporarily yesterday they are totally covered again now.

And we're headed back to the mid-70s. Ahhh.. we had 2 days of cold and then spring is coming back. The blue bells are already growing so I expect nice blue fields shortly. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Our snowfall has been pretty normal this year. This last week or so has been downright cold, broke some records going back to the 1880's. Last winter was extremely cold as well, which I loved! But this past December was warm, so we're not getting the deep freeze like before.

We all love upgrades, except with TC (tropical cyclone) Marcia gets upgraded from Cat. 2 to Cat. 3. Oh Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

Just had to throw in the pop culture reference.

-9°F this morning. I think it's -25° with the windchill. We are supposed to be taking a dog sled ride this evening. Not really looking forward to it anymore with this temperature.

WHen I wired the new house I ran Cat6. I know it's overkill but you never know whats coming in the future. One of the interesting things I noticed is that I had to hook up all 8 wires. I can no longer run two connections down the same wire. Not sure why but unless all 8 wires were connected, it wouldn't work on the longer runs.

Did you know a dime bag doesn't contain any dimes? So what does one call a bag with dimes in it? -?

I wonder how the folks in the south are feeling about "global warming". On the news this morning they were saying some places down there are 45 degrees (F) below normal temps, and parts of Georgia and Tennessee were colder than Anchorage, Alaska.

Would Cat 6. give better shielding from the winds?

12mm yesterday and 20mm today by 5:30am

The trick is to go about your routine as normal as possible. There has been panic buying of bread and milk. A bit too early to really say but we should only get a drenching from the rain depression after the cyclone crosses.
