I just checked, and right now it is 14°C (57°F) in my back yard. Might have to move further north if I want to get winter, it seems.

North seems to be the wrong direction. All of Alaska was warmer than we were for the past week. Something definitely wrong with that picture.

We're down to -22C/-8F already tonight, and once again it's clear out.

I was a wall anchor, where would I hide?? Probably somewhere totally unexpected!

Maybe the earth's axis is moving faster than normal. Maybe Alaska will be along the equator soon, and somewhere in the Atlantic will be the North Pole. ;)

Or Dallas. Winter has come to Dallas in a big way. The city is basically shut down. Few people are out there but not many. I actually had to shovel a path for the fur-kid yesterday. More snow and ice predicted for tomorrow.

I plan on taking my pup to go play in the snow tomorrow. He loves it.

All of our dogs have loved the snow. The Miniture Schnauzer we had growing up loved to go out and play with us but he got cold fast.
The lab/greyhound would just run and run and run through the powder or pounce all over the snow piles. We took him tobogganing a few times and that was a riot. He'd race every toboggan down the hill and jump on you at the bottom. He was a kisser. The more you laughed, the more your face got washed. He'd freeze as soon as he stopped moving so we always made sure we brought along a warm blanket for him to hide in in the truck.
The Golden lives for cold weather and snow. It'd be -25C plus windchill and he'd beg to go outside. Would then just curl up on the deck and snooze. We'd call him in at bedtime and he'd just be a lump under a snowdrift.

I love summer. I could get use to summer year round. I need to get closer to the equator I think. :)

Plus, the closer to the equator you get the more centrifugal force acts on you making you lighter which is always a good thing. :)

I love Spring and Fall. You can keep summer.

But I guess it depends partially on where one is living.

I would agree for where you live, for sure. That is one thing about living in a more moderate climate, having and enjoying all four seasons is great. My favourite has always been fall. I love the cooler temps, especially those crisp bright mornings.

Autumn (Fall) is the nicest time of year. You get warm days and cool nights. Also the day are getting shorter so that means getting to see the sunset when it's a good time of night. Also nice colour in the leaves.

Spring is also nice, coming out of winter is always good and getting those warmer days and life starting backup. getting flowers and bugs to photograph.

Had to take our poor kitty to the vet today. She's slowly been eating less and less, to the point that she's now barely drinking and has jaundice. Vet gave her fluid injections and gave us some different food to try, and some gooey food that can be basically force fed. Hopefully we can get her back on track.
Old girl is 20 years old, according to the vet's records.
