How are duck eggs different than chicken eggs?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Bigger, a bit denser, and a bit tougher. Taste is pretty much the same. I fried some for sandwiches last night, and the only difference, other than there's more to them, is that they just feel a bit heavier to eat.

We had chickens, ducks, and geese for many years when we were kids. I miss having the fresh eggs, but I don't miss taking care of the birds or the mess they make.

Duck eggs come from ducks. Chicken eggs come from chickens. Did you ever take biology?

I don't think I've had a duck egg, but I avoid those thousand year old eggs my mother tried to feed us when I was young. It's made using horse urine. Yuck!

Rain is still coming down, 37 degrees still. Tomorrow should be nice 59 and sunny. My yard is like total mud these days. Can't even start the landscaping. So much for cherry blossoms this weekend. The DC one starts today, no blossoms until April. Sad.

Lunch was great. I went to a Chinese buffet place and it was yummy. I ate just a plate full, I never get seconds. Got in and out of there in about 40 minutes.

Happy Friday!

60 and raining here but not a real cold rain. THis is turning out to be a really springy spring. Everything is exploding green. :)

From what I understand, that's how it started. Maybe that's not how they make them now, but either way, I don't like them. And really, has anyone enjoyed them?

I'm in the Manassas area, about 45 minutes to DC in good traffic, 2 hours otherwise. :) Tis life around the beltway.

I don't know. Since your mother served them, maybe she liked them. They're on Chinese menus here, but I never tried them. There are so many good things to do with eggs, who needs that one?

I've had the opportunity to try them a couple of times but the sulfur smell just shuts me down. They are stinky.
